Custom die-cut vinyl stickers at 3 x 3 in typically cost about $55 to $70 for 50, $80 to $100 for 100, $145 to $230 for 500 and $210 to $370 for 1,000, at typical market prices from online sticker printers checked October 2026. That is roughly $1.10 to $1.45 a sticker at 50, falling to about 21 to 37 cents a sticker at 1,000.
Quantity and size move the price most. Material, laminate, the type of cut and turnaround account for the rest. The figures below explain how each one works, so the guide stays useful when published prices change.
How much do custom stickers cost?
A small run of custom stickers costs more per piece than a large one, because the setup is the same whether you order 50 or 1,000.
| Quantity | Typical total | Per sticker |
|---|---|---|
| 50 | about $55 to $70 | about $1.10 to $1.45 |
| 100 | about $80 to $100 | about 80 cents to $1 |
| 500 | about $145 to $230 | about 29 to 46 cents |
| 1,000 | about $210 to $370 | about 21 to 37 cents |
Prices shown are typical market prices for standard options, based on published prices from national print retailers and online printers, checked October 2026. They are a guide, not a quote. Prices are subject to change and do change with quantity, paper, finishing and turnaround, so contact us for an updated quote.
These ranges are based on published prices at online sticker printers Sticker Mule, StickerApp and 4over4, read from Sticker Mule's die-cut sticker page and StickerApp's custom sticker page. Sticker Mule's prices include shipping, and 4over4 adds shipping at checkout. The low end at 500 and 1,000 comes from 4over4's default die-cut listing, which does not state the size, so treat it as a floor rather than a like-for-like 3 x 3 in price. All are for standard turnaround.
Why do stickers cost less per piece in larger quantities?
Because the setup is paid once. Proofing the artwork, setting the cut path and preparing the machine take the same time for 50 stickers as for 1,000, so the cost is spread over more pieces as the run grows. At Sticker Mule, the same 3 x 3 in design dropped from $1.44 a sticker at 50 to 37 cents at 1,000.
The practical result: price the next quantity up before you order. At both printers that published a 3 x 3 in price at both quantities, 500 stickers cost about two and a half times as much as 100, not five times.
How much does sticker size change the price?
Size is the biggest factor after quantity, because price follows the area of material used. At one online printer, going from 2 x 2 in to 3 x 3 in more than doubled the area and added about half to the price.
| Quantity | 2 x 2 in | 3 x 3 in |
|---|---|---|
| 50 | $60 | $72 |
| 100 | $73 | $94 |
| 500 | $152 | $231 |
| 1,000 | $232 | $372 |
What else changes the price of stickers?
- Material: white vinyl is the standard. Clear, holographic and metallic films are separate materials with their own prices, so ask for them on the same quote and compare.
- Laminate: an extra layer over the print protects outdoor stickers from sun and scratches.
- Cut: die-cut stickers are cut through the backing to the shape of the design, and kiss-cut stickers peel off a larger backing. Our guide to die-cut vs kiss-cut stickers explains when each makes sense.
- Shape: a smooth outline cuts faster and cleaner than one that traces every spike and gap.
- Number of designs: ask whether a quote covers one design or several. Splitting a quantity across designs can change the price.
- Turnaround: rush production costs more than standard.
Should I choose vinyl or paper stickers?
Choose vinyl for anything that will be handled, washed or taken outdoors, and paper only for short-life indoor uses such as envelope seals, event badges and bag closures. Paper tears and stains when wet. Every price in the tables above is for vinyl, so if your use allows paper, ask for both on one quote. For stickers that go on products you sell, such as jars and bottles, a label stock rated for moisture and oil is the better choice; see our guide to roll and sheet product labels.
How much do sticker sheets cost?
Sticker sheets are priced by the sheet, so the size of the sheet, the number of designs on it and the quantity of sheets set the price, not a per-sticker rate. A sticker sheet puts several kiss-cut designs on one backing, all in the same material and finish. We did not find enough like-for-like published prices to give a typical range, so send the sheet size, the designs and the quantity for a quote.
How long do custom stickers take?
Standard turnaround for most print is two to three business days after proof approval, and rush is 24 to 48 hours on most products. Special films and custom dies can take longer, so mention your date when you ask for a quote. Finished stickers can go by free delivery anywhere in Manhattan.
Size the sticker against the real object before you ask for a price. A design that looks right on screen at 4 in can turn out too wide for a water bottle, and it costs more than a 3 in version because area drives the price. Cut a paper template to the size you have in mind and hold it on the laptop, bottle or box. It takes two minutes and often saves a reorder.

Why are small sticker orders so expensive per sticker?
Setup is the same for 50 stickers as for 1,000, so a small run carries all of it over fewer pieces. The price per sticker falls steeply as the quantity rises.
Can I print stickers designed in Canva?
Yes. Export a PDF Print file with bleed at the finished size, and say where the cut line should run. A free file check catches low-resolution images and missing bleed before anything prints.
Which stickers last outdoors?
Vinyl rated for outdoor use, with a laminate for extra protection from sun and scratches. Paper stickers are for indoor and short-term use.
