Binding Chosen by Page Count and Use
Saddle stitching suits 8 to 64 pages: programs, service menus, gallery guides, newsletters. Page counts run in multiples of four. Perfect binding takes over above roughly 60 pages and gives you a flat printed spine for catalogs, annual reports and lookbooks.
Wire-o and spiral open completely flat, which is what a manual or workbook needs. Case bound hardcover is available for premium publications.
Stocks, Covers and Finishing
Text pages commonly run 80lb or 100lb gloss or matte. Covers go heavier at 100lb cover or 12pt, with soft touch laminate, gloss laminate or spot UV. French folds, belly bands, corner rounding and drilling are all available.
A soft touch laminated cover on an otherwise ordinary booklet is the single most cost-effective way to make it feel considered.
Sending the File
Send a single paginated PDF in reading order with 0.125 inch bleed. Do not impose it into printer spreads, we handle that. For perfect binding, tell us the page count and stock so we can calculate spine width before you design the cover.
