How Much Does It Cost to Print a Booklet? (2026 Prices)

What saddle-stitched booklets and catalogs cost at typical market prices in October 2026, how page count, cover and binding change the price, and when to ask for a quote.

A full-color 8.5 x 11 in saddle-stitched booklet of 8 pages costs about $205 to $361 for 100 copies at typical market prices in October 2026, or about $2.05 to $3.61 a copy. At 250 copies the range is about $375 to $448, and at 1,000 one published price is about $1,100, or $1.10 a copy. Page count, quantity, cover stock and binding move the price most.

Booklets are priced per finished copy rather than per page, and the cost per copy falls quickly as the run grows. The figures below are for saddle stitching, the stapled binding used for programs, newsletters, catalogs and zines of up to about 64 pages.

These ranges are based on published prices at national online printers such as UPrinting, 4over4 and Conquest Graphics, checked on October 29, 2026; UPrinting's booklet page and 4over4's saddle stitch page show their tiers. They exclude shipping, and some assume about six business days. Published prices for 24 pages and up are thin and vary widely, so ask for a quote on longer booklets.

What is the booklet printing price per page?

Most printers do not price booklets per page. They price a finished copy at a set page count, in steps of four, because each sheet folded into a saddle-stitched booklet adds four pages. Dividing the published totals gives about 26 to 45 cents a page for an 8-page booklet at 100 copies, and the per-page figure falls as the page count and the quantity rise. Compare the total for the finished, stapled and trimmed copy, not a per-page rate.

What changes the price of a booklet?

  • Page count: every 4 pages is one more sheet to print, fold and stitch.
  • Quantity: an 8-page copy falls from about $3.28 to $6.04 at 50 to about $1.10 at 1,000 in the published prices.
  • Cover: a separate heavier cover costs more than a self cover on the same paper as the inside. At one online printer, 100 catalogs cost about $303 with a thicker cover against $205 with a self cover.
  • Size: one printer listed about $679 for 1,000 eight-page 5.5 x 8.5 in booklets and about $1,100 for the 8.5 x 11 in version.
  • Paper and finish: heavier text stock, laminated covers and spot UV add cost.
  • Binding: saddle stitch is usually the least expensive binding for 8 to 64 pages.
  • Turnaround and shipping: bound work takes longer than flat print, and published prices exclude freight.

Saddle stitch or perfect bound: which costs less?

Saddle stitch usually costs less for booklets of about 8 to 64 pages, and perfect binding takes over above roughly 60 pages, where it gives the book a flat printed spine. Published prices for perfect-bound books vary widely, and many come from overseas printers that exclude freight and duties, so ask for a quote with your page count, size and quantity.

How much does it cost to print a catalog or magazine?

A catalog or magazine is priced like a booklet, by page count, quantity, cover and binding. At typical market prices in October 2026, short-run 8.5 x 11 in catalogs ran about $205 to $303 for 100, and an 8-page catalog with a 10pt cover about $1,100 for 1,000. Catalogs of 60 pages or more move to perfect binding, where published prices vary widely enough that only a quote is useful.

How much does it cost to print a zine or a short-run book?

A zine is usually a small saddle-stitched booklet, so the table above applies, and a 5.5 x 8.5 in format uses half the paper of letter size. For 100 copies of a book with more than about 60 pages, perfect binding is the usual choice; send the page count, trim size and paper for a quote. Short runs print digitally with no plates, which keeps 50 or 100 copies practical; see digital vs offset printing. For one or two copies of a long document, such as a manual, wire-o or spiral binding lets it open flat.

How long does booklet printing take?

Binding takes longer than flat print. Standard turnaround is two to three business days for most print, and bound work needs extra time, so give us your event or mailing date with the quote request. A same-day courier is available once the booklets are finished, and delivery anywhere in Manhattan is free.

Say how the cover is counted when you ask for a price. A '16-page booklet' can mean 16 pages including the cover, all on one paper, or 16 inside pages plus a separate 4-page cover on heavier stock, which is 20 pages. Two quotes that look far apart are often pricing different books. Send a single paginated PDF in reading order with 0.125 in bleed, not printer spreads, and keep page numbers well inside the trim.
