How fast can you print?
It depends on the job. Some work can be printed same day or next day. Most jobs run in a few days. Complex or multi-layer work, anything needing dies, foil, binding or specialty finishing, takes longer. We would rather build the schedule around your deadline than quote a number that does not fit your job, so tell us the date you actually need it and we will tell you plainly what is achievable. Do you offer same day printing?
Yes, on selected products. Blueprints, engineering prints, short-run digital flyers and posters can often be produced the same day when files arrive before mid-morning. Large format banners and anything requiring foil, binding or embroidery need longer.
What file format should I send?
Print-ready PDF is best, with fonts outlined or embedded, CMYK color, 300 DPI images and 0.125 inch bleed. We also accept AI, INDD, PSD, EPS and high-resolution JPG or TIFF. Every file gets preflighted free before we quote, and we will tell you if something will not hold up.
Do you really deliver free anywhere in Manhattan?
Yes. Delivery is free across the whole of Manhattan, from the Financial District to Inwood, not just the blocks around our shop. Same-day courier is available for urgent work. You can also collect at 40 Wall Street during business hours.
Which parts of Manhattan do you cover?
Yes. Free delivery covers every Manhattan neighborhood, and same-day courier is available when a deadline is tight. Pickup at 40 Wall Street, Suite 2838 is always available during business hours.
Are you really a union print shop?
Yes. Big Apple Press is unionized with Teamsters Local 2N, and our work carries the Teamster Made bug. If your organization requires union-printed materials for compliance or for principle, we can supply the bug on every piece.
Can you help with design?
Yes. Our in-house design team can build artwork from scratch, clean up an existing logo, or adapt a design across a full set of materials. Design is quoted separately from printing, and you own the final files.
